My road
to recovery
What are common obstacles on the road to recovery and how can my lived experience give you the tools to remove them?
Welcome
The road to recovery is easier and more sustainable when you feel seen and heard by others. It’s even better when you take the time to see and hear yourself.

The first step
The first real step in recovery from burnout is learning to adapt to limited and fleeting levels of energy. I share what helped me so you can move forward in your recovery.

Can I go this way?
A recurring theme which shows up at varying stages throughout recovery is permission. Not only the permission you receive from others, but most importantly, the permission you give yourself. How could giving yourself permission help you to recover?

How do I feel about this?
A large part of recovery from burnout has to do with how our emotions show up – and how we accept or deny them. How is the relationship you have with your emotions influencing your recovery?

Preventive Maintenance
Self-care is what you do to meet all your physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional needs. Learn how starting a self-care routine can help you at all stages of your recovery.

You mean it’s not just me?
The diversity, unpredictability and sheer number of symptoms will cause you to doubt yourself. When should you fight and when is accepting the better choice? Is what I’m feeling normal or is it all in my head?

Medication: proceed with caution.
You’ve been prescribed medication to help you sleep, to calm down, to stimulate you or think clearer. But - does it work? I offer you a perspective on this subject based on my personal experience.

Keep calm to move along
There have been moments when you’ve been triggered and have wanted to fight or flee. I, too, have often experienced this. In this film I share my ‘hacks’ with you to let your sense work for you instead of against you.

Where am I?
Recovery is a process and there are times when you feel lost. In this film I explain how getting to know this version of yourself is key in recovery.

Where do I go from here?
Every journey is filled with choices: Where to go, which direction to take, what to take with us, or who we invite to join us. The destination is a culmination of the choices you make every day. How will you choose?

What is happy?
When we’re struggling, we would rather be anywhere other than where we are. We want to be happy. But is happiness something we make? Hear how my burnout and depression changed my perspective on happiness.
